Are you passionate about learning new topics and sharing your knowledge with others? We want to hear from you! Sedana Medical is looking for a new Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Germany.
The Role
As the MSL in Germany, you will be responsible for establishing professional relationships with external experts or Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in Germany, disseminating evidence and educating on inhaled sedation for mechanically ventilated patients in critical care.
The role is based in Germany and extensive travel is required (up to 70%). You will be part of two teams, the Global Medical Affairs team (with whom you will work remotely) and the German team (including Key Account Managers and Regional Sales Managers). You will report to the MSL Team Lead of Sedana Medical. To succeed in this role, excellent interpersonal skills are as important as your passion for scientific communication since you will be working cross-functionally and interacting with external experts on a daily basis.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
- Builds long-lasting professional relationships with KOLs through appropriate scientific exchange
- Presents clinical and disease state information to a variety of audiences
- Organises activities on a national level for data dissemination such as webinars, symposia and round table discussions
- Supports data dissemination at congresses by interacting with speakers prior to event and reviewing presentations’ contents for scientific accuracy and compliance
- Identifies opportunities for research collaborations and proactively stimulates scientific publications
- Organises Advisory Boards and collects insights, opinions and feedback from healthcare professionals (HCPs)
- Provides continuous medical education and literature updates to Sales colleagues
- Responds to unsolicited medical inquiries from HCPs and forwards reports of adverse events or adverse drug reactions
Your profile:
Minimum qualifications
- Degree in healthcare (e.g. Nursing, Respiratory Therapist, Physician) or degree in life sciences (MSc/PhD, PharmD, MD)
- Knowledge of Intensive Care, Anaesthesia, mechanical ventilation, pain/sedation management
- Fluent in German and working proficiency in English
Beneficial qualifications
- Previous experience from industry in related functions (i.e. MSL, Medical Manager, Medical Advisor)
- Clinical experience within Intensive Care and/or Anaesthesia
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective and influential oral presentations within the healthcare profession
- Valid driving license
- Good computer skills and willingness to adopt new digital tools
- Good project management and organizational skills
