Medical Reviewer (MRL & Marketing Claims)

Contract: 3 months

Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)

Rate: £245 per day Umbrella


A global healthcare organisation is seeking an experienced Medical Reviewer to support Medical, Legal and Regulatory (MLR) review activities within a fast-paced medical affairs environment. This contract role will focus on the review and approval of promotional and customer-facing materials, ensuring scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance across multiple markets.


The Role

Working as part of a global medical and clinical affairs function, you will play a key role in safeguarding compliance and evidence integrity across marketing and scientific materials.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the medical review process within an MLR framework, collaborating closely with regulatory and legal stakeholders
  • Reviewing promotional, marketing and customer-facing materials to ensure alignment with approved indications and regulatory requirements
  • Providing formal medical approval of materials where required
  • Conducting thorough literature reviews to support claims and content
  • Reviewing and approving materials as part of marketing claims remediation activities
  • Evaluating scientific data and ensuring claims are evidence-based and appropriate for target markets


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or health-related discipline (advanced degree desirable)
  • Clinical background or healthcare-related training/experience
  • At least 1 year’s experience within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry in a similar medical review role
  • Familiarity with medical literature searches, data evaluation and summarisation of study findings
  • Understanding of clinical research design and strength of evidence
  • Prior experience working within an MLR environment is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medical device or pharmaceutical regulations relating to evidence and claims
