About the Opportunity:


The shopping team is expanding the Media Planning Team within the Shopping organization. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Solutions, the Media Planner owns the process of booking, implementing, and executing media across the shopping portfolio for advertisers based on account team and client goals. Supporting 2-3 Account Directors and collaborating with Account Managers, the role manages the coordination of channels, tactics, and budget for media planning. Daily collaboration occurs with cross-functional teams such as Ad Operations, CRM, and Finance, working on accounts across various industries and verticals. The Media Planner also works with account teams and advertisers to develop media plans and strategies that meet client objectives.


Responsibilities:


• Understand advertiser goals within assigned book of business to build effective media plans targeting key performance indicators

• Liaise cross-functionally with Ad Operations, CRM, and Finance teams for campaign development, setup, and implementation

• Maintain knowledge of the full suite of ad products (Native ads, Display ads, Email, Push, etc.) and platform capabilities

• Monitor and manage Salesforce queue for a dedicated portfolio of accounts

• Forecast and book inventory, process and manage insertion orders, secure pricing approvals, and support sales and operational objectives

• Serve as main client contact to ensure digital campaigns go live, including collecting assets and promotional offer details prior to launch

• Submit promotional details for offer creation and creative assets via internal systems, appending to media plans

• Ensure media plans have accurate pricing, run dates, approved ad products, and available inventory in compliance with workflows and systems (e.g., Salesforce, AdForce1, DFT)

• Communicate deadlines and account prioritization to cross-functional partners based on Account Director direction to ensure timely execution

• Integrate proprietary data points related to the shopping business into developed media plans for advertising partners

• Build relationships with Account Directors, Account Managers, and Inside Sales Representatives to guide account strategies

• Collaborate with the Planning Manager and fellow Media Planners to develop standard methodologies, deliver client goals tactically, and improve sales processes


Requirements:


• At least 1 year of sales planning or digital media experience preferred

• Experience with Salesforce, Excel, and/or G-Suite

• Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and workflows

• Proactive, self-starter with initiative

• Strong attention to detail and project management skills

• Ability to prioritize rapidly and juggle competing priorities while maintaining communication

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
