Randstad Digital is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead the development of a comprehensive Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data Management (RDM) strategy. The objective of this role is to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and harmonization of customer records across the organization. You will also identify additional domains and use cases for MDM that can deliver value, while aligning best practices with the organization’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Requirements Gathering Assess current data management processes, focusing on challenges in managing customer data. Engage with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements and define the scope for the MDM/RDM system. Document existing issues such as data duplication and inconsistency.
  • MDM Strategy Development Create a comprehensive MDM/RDM strategy focused on consolidating customer records, customer name harmonization, and golden record creation. Establish a roadmap for the design, development, and implementation of the new system. Define clear goals, objectives, and KPIs for the MDM strategy.
  • MDM Governance Framework and Policies Develop a data governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, and processes to maintain data accuracy. Define policies for managing customer data, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to organizational standards.
  • System Architecture and Integration Design Design the architecture for the MDM/RDM system, ensuring seamless integration with existing enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, etc.). Establish data harmonization rules for creating golden records and managing data deduplication and validation.
  • Tool Evaluation and Technology Recommendations Evaluate market solutions for MDM/RDM, considering factors such as scalability, ease of integration, and data governance capabilities. Recommend the best-suited MDM/RDM platform and support its procurement and installation.
  • Implementation and Data Migration Develop and execute a detailed implementation plan, including data migration and system integration. Oversee the migration process, ensuring data cleansing and transformation for accurate results.
  • Training and Change Management Create and execute a change management plan to ensure successful adoption of the new system. Lead training sessions for key stakeholders, providing guidance on system usage and governance.
  • Documentation and Reporting Prepare detailed documentation of the MDM/RDM strategy, system architecture, governance policies, and data management procedures. Provide regular progress reports to leadership, detailing achievements and outlining next steps.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data Management (RDM).
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing MDM/RDM strategies from the ground up.
  • Strong knowledge of customer data governance, data quality frameworks, and data harmonization.
  • Experience with CRM/ERP systems and MDM tools.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English.

This role is to work mainly remotely, but some visits to Geneva will be required. Consultants must be able to travel to Switzerland on short notice.
