Role Overview

This is a full-time remote role for a Marketing Strategist. The Marketing Strategist will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies, conducting market research, creating and execute online paid media campaigns, and managing clients.


Key Responsibilities:

Client Management & Relationship Building

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their marketing strategies align with business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships by providing strategic insights, expert guidance, and measurable results.
  • Lead client meetings, presenting performance updates, campaign progress, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance client marketing efforts, positioning the agency as a strategic partner.
  • Upsell and cross-sell additional marketing services by identifying ways to add value to client accounts.


Paid Media Strategy & Execution

  • Create and execute online paid media campaigns across Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other digital advertising platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive paid media strategies tailored to client objectives and business goals.
  • Optimize campaign performance through continuous monitoring, A/B testing, and data-driven adjustments.
  • Manage and advise on client budgets, ensuring strategic allocation of spend for maximum impact.
  • Own performance reporting and communicate strategy insights clearly to clients.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the marketing funnel and how to leverage paid media and social advertising effectively.


Performance Tracking, AI & Data-Driven Marketing

  • Manage reporting and analytics for various social media channels and ad campaigns, delivering actionable insights.
  • Establish scalable and repeatable processes for experimentation and measurement to drive consistent improvements.
  • Utilize advanced database management tools to track, target, and engage both prospective leads and existing customers.
  • Leverage AI technologies to enhance campaign performance, automate workflows, and optimize business processes.
  • Continuously experiment with new marketing tactics, algorithms, and emerging digital strategies to stay ahead of trends.


Creative & Digital Content Execution

  • Write compelling ad copy using copywriting best practices to drive conversions.
  • Build high-quality lead pages and landing pages for brands and campaigns that optimize conversions.
  • Draft, schedule, and manage high-performing social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Assist with building, deploying, and troubleshooting websites, as well as ongoing edits and updates.
  • Work collaboratively to create innovative, engaging digital experiences that drive audience engagement and brand awareness.

The Experience & Qualifications You Bring:

Client Work & Communications: 

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, preferably in a client-facing role at a marketing agency.
  • Strong social media content and ad management experience (Meta, X, LinkedIn).
  • A creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative and impactful ideas for marketing campaigns and content strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt strategies based on performance data and client feedback.
  • In-depth understanding of industry trends in marketing, advertising, and communications.
  • Experience working with database management tools to bring in and manage leads.
  • A data-driven mind and methodical ability to sift through raw statistics and metrics.
  • Great copywriting skills.
  • Preference for candidates based in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba.
