Our client is a major business news publication based in NYC and they are looking for a creative and detail-driven Marketing Designer to create a new set of templates for a refreshed marketing push. You'll craft compelling, on-brand email experiences that engage our audience and drive measurable results. This is a hands-on design role where aesthetics and performance go hand in hand.
This is remote, project-based, with the possibility of going longer term.
You will:
- Design fresh email templates for a variety of campaigns geared towards different audiences, all in keeping with the brand guidelines
- Collaborate closely with copywriters, email marketers, and brand designers to ensure every send is visually cohesive and on-message.
- Apply best practices for accessibility (WCAG), dark mode rendering, and cross-client compatibility (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, mobile)
You have:
- 3+ years of experience in marketing or digital design, with a strong portfolio featuring email-specific work
- Proficiency in Figma
- Solid understanding of email rendering constraints, responsive design, and deliverability considerations
- A data-informed mindset — you care about what performs, not just what looks good
- Strong typographic sensibility and an eye for hierarchy, layout, and visual storytelling within constrained formats
