Role Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator with a strong digital focus to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a marketing professional with 2-4 years of experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment, who is looking to build their career in law firm marketing, digital communications, and content distribution.
The successful candidate will support the firm’s marketing initiatives, with a particular emphasis on managing the firm's digital presence, website, social media, and online communications, and helping to strengthen our brand and enhance engagement with clients, referral sources, and the broader professional community.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial legal environment where creativity, initiative, and adaptability are valued. Total Compensation: $45,000 to $60,000 (commensurate with experience).
Key Responsibilities
Brand and Visual Identity
- Act as a champion for the Taxpayer Law brand, ensuring consistency across all channels.
Website Management and Digital Presence
- Optimize website content and structure to improve search engine visibility, user experience, and engagement.
- Manage and maintain the firm's WordPress website, including updates to lawyer profiles, practice pages, publications, and blog content, ensuring it remains current, accurate, and aligned with the firm's branding and messaging.
- Coordinate the publication and promotion of articles, legal insights, and firm announcements.
- Support search engine optimization (SEO) initiatives to improve the firm's online visibility.
- Monitor website performance using Google Analytics and identify opportunities to improve traffic, engagement, and overall site performance.
Digital Marketing Initiatives
- Support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives across email, website, social media, and digital advertising channels.
- Create simple graphics and visual content using Canva to support social media posts, newsletters, website content, and firm announcements.
- Draft and schedule social media content, with a particular focus on LinkedIn.
- Assist with the promotion of firm announcements, publications, and thought leadership content.
- Drive the creation and distribution of email communications and newsletters using Mailchimp.
- Assist with the coordination and monitoring of Google Ads campaigns, including tracking performance and supporting optimization efforts.
Content Marketing and Thought Leadership
- Assist lawyers with the publication and promotion of articles, case commentary, and thought leadership content.
- Coordinate the editing, formatting, and distribution of legal insights and updates.
- Support initiatives that strengthen the firm's reputation and visibility within the professional community.
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand presentation across all communications.
Analytics and Performance Tracking
- Monitor and report on key digital metrics, including website traffic, social media engagement, and campaign performance.
- Track and analyze Google Ads and website analytics data to help inform marketing decisions.
- Support data-driven improvements to marketing initiatives.
- Assist with SEO analysis using tools such as SEMRush.
Marketing Systems and Tools
- Assist with maintaining marketing systems and digital tools used by the firm, including: WordPress, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMRush, CLIO (firm practice management platform).
- Support internal processes related to marketing coordination, communications, and digital initiatives.
Events and Firm Communications
- Support the marketing and promotion of webinars, seminars, and client events.
- Assist with preparing marketing materials and communications related to firm initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant digital marketing experience will also be considered.
Technical Skills
- 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or a related role.
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and professional social media platforms.
- Experience with WordPress content management systems.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, analytics tools (Google Analytics or similar), and email marketing platforms, including MailChimp.
- Strong written communication and content editing skills.
- Experience creating marketing graphics and visual assets using tools such as Canva.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
