Here's a Summary Of Responsibilities

The Manager, AthleteExperiences,is responsible for planning, managing, and executing athlete-facing programs and experiences that support Olympic and Paralympic athletes leading into and during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role is highly executional, with a strong emphasis on logistics management, operational oversight, and delivering seamless, athlete-first experiences aligned with Team USA brand standards.

Working closely with the Associate Director, Athlete Experiences, this position translates strategy into action—owning day-to-day program management, vendor coordination, and on-site execution across athlete environments. The Manager will collaborate with internal teams, agency partners, USOPP,Organizing Committees, NGBs, and external vendors to ensure athlete experiences are thoughtful, well-coordinated, and operationally sound.

Event & ExperiencesDevelopment

Program Management & Execution

  • Manage day-to-day planning and execution ofathlete events and experiences leading up to and during the Games
  • Own detailed program logistics such as schedules, run of show, staffing plans, credentialing needs, load-in/load-out, and on-site workflows.
  • Support on-site execution in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, proactively resolving issues and escalating risks as appropriate.
  • Ensure athlete experiences are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards,always maintaining an athlete-first mindset.

Partner, Agency & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with agency partners and external vendors to support production, fabrication, and delivery of athlete experience elements.
  • Support integration of USOPP partners and approved commercial elements into athlete experiences, in alignment with established guidelines.
  • Track partner deliverables and activation requirements, ensuring alignment with approved scopes, timelines, and brand standards.
  • Assist with IOC and USOPC intellectual property approvals workflows for athlete-facing assets, ensuring compliance and timely reviews.

Creative, Brand & Content Support

  • Partner with internal Creative and Brand teams to support development, review, and execution of athlete experience creative assets.
  • Review athlete-facing materials for accuracy, brand compliance, and operational feasibility prior to production.
  • Ensure all athlete touchpoints reflect Team USA values, tone, and visual identity while remaining appropriate for athlete environments.

Administration

Planning, Budgets & Administration

  • Support budget tracking, invoice processing, and financial reporting for assigned athlete experience programs.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and documentation to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Prepare status updates, recaps, and post-event summaries to support reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Support administrative needs related to athlete experience programs as directed by the Associate Director.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Athlete Services, Sports Medicine, Marketing, Communications, Legal, and Operations to support athlete experience delivery.
  • Coordinate with LA28, USOPP, and NGB counterparts to support Games-time readiness and alignment.
  • Participate in internal planning meetings, walkthroughs, rehearsals, and readiness exercises related to athlete experiences.

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4–6+ years of experience in experiential marketing, event management, athlete services, sports marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience executing complex, high-touch programs or events with significant logistical requirements.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel as required, particularly around major events and Games-time periods.
  • A passion for experiences with a commitment to innovation

Here's Some More Information You Need To Know

  • Hiring pay range $70,000 - $80,000 per year
  • This Full-Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
  • Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 15% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
