About Us
Hospitaliti is building to become the world's leading AI-powered recruitment platform for the hospitality industry. We recently acquired a major European hospitality tech player with over 3 million members, and with it, one of the richest talent datasets in the sector: 10 years of applicant behaviour, hiring patterns, career trajectories, and employer engagement data across 50+ countries.
We are not building another job board. We are building an intelligence layer for hospitality talent — and we need someone who can help us unlock what's buried in a decade of data.
The Vision
We are inspired by the ideas in Dorsey and Botha's "From Hierarchy to Intelligence" (Block/Sequoia, March 2026): organisations don't need more layers — they need better signal. AI should not just automate tasks; it should replace the coordination overhead that slows companies down. We are designing Hospitaliti as an AI-led, flat organisation where data-driven decisions replace management guesswork and where every team member — human or AI — operates from a shared "world model" built on real data.
This role is foundational to that ambition. You will not be running reports. You will be shaping how an entire company thinks, decides, and operates.
What You'll Do
· Take business problems and translate them into well-defined ML problems, with clear metrics and success criteria.
· Build NLP pipelines on top of our existing data — including cleaning, tokenization, vectorization, and embeddings.
· Prototype, train, evaluate, and iterate on models for matching, ranking, and prediction tasks.
· Ship models to production, set up proper monitoring, run A/B tests, and close the loop with real-world feedback.
· Collaborate with product and engineering to integrate ML into the Hosco experience.
· Stay curious — explore new architectures, tools, and research, and bring what's useful back into the product.
Must-haves
· Solid hands-on experience building and shipping Machine Learning models — you've taken real models from data to production, evaluated them properly, and iterated based on results.
· Strong hands-on experience in Natural Language Processing — you've actually built things with it, not just read about it.
· Strong practical knowledge of vectorization and embeddings — classical and modern approaches, and a sense of when to reach for which.
· A genuinely AI-focused mindset — you think in terms of what ML can and can't do, and you keep up with the field.
· Open to learning new things. The space moves fast; you move with it.
· Accountable — you own your work, your decisions, and your outcomes.
· Ambitious — you want to build something people will actually use and remember.
· A real desire to create something amazing, not just ship a ticket.
Nice to have
· Familiarity with modern LLMs and retrieval-augmented approaches.
· Strong general programming skills
· Experience working with vector databases.
· Data engineering skills — databases, data pipelines, and some cloud experience.
· MLOps exposure
· Multilingual NLP experience — our users speak many languages.
What We Offer
· Direct access to one of Europe's largest and longest-running hospitality talent datasets — a genuine ML playground.
· A front-row seat in building an AI-first company from the ground up, not retrofitting AI onto legacy processes.
· Mentorship from the founding team — not a middle manager. We practise Radical Transparency and you will be in the room where decisions happen.
· Fully flexible working — remote, Switzerland, or Barcelona.
· A real chance to shape the analytical foundation of a company that intends to lead its industry — not file reports that nobody reads.
How to Apply
· What's the most interesting thing you've done with messy, real-world data?
· What does "AI-led organisation" mean to you?
