Role Description
This is a Freelance remote Science Editor role. The Science Editor will be responsible for manuscript editing, writing and researching articles, and publications.
Qualifications
• Manuscript editing proficiency
• Science background with knowledge of various research fields
• Strong writing skills with a keen eye for detail
• Research experience with the ability to vet research sources
• Publication experience with the ability to review potential publications
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently on a part-time remote basis
• Advanced degree in a scientific field is a plus
• Familiarity with citation styles, such as APA and Chicago
• At least 1+ year of proven experience in editing & proofreading life sciences documents.
• Must have experience with Cactus, Editage, AJE, Enago, Letpub, Mogoedit, Medjaden, etc language editing companies.
• Bachelors/Masters of science degree in Life sciences or life sciences background like Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Genetics, Microbiology, Immunology, Neuroscience, Ecology, Physiology, Environmental sciences or Pharmacology.
• Skilled editor with highly proactive attitude.
