Job Description
Innodata is seeking a legal research specialist to serve as a consultant for a client in the legal and regulatory space. This legal specialist will support standardization activities across multiple siloed legal processes in different countries, pertaining to the legal primary source's workflow.
Activities include:
· Working with business analysts and legal experts to analyze individual countries’ primary source workflow, data and files
· Working with business analysts to create consolidated and standardized processes and data based on individual countries’ processes, highlighting instances in which local countries cannot conform to standard
· Producing deliverables for standardized process (with the support of business analysts), including but not limited to:
. Process documentation (as-is documentation and to-be process design)
. Spreadsheets containing standardized data elements for various processes
· Understanding status of standardization efforts across all active countries, and reporting status to program leadership
· Attending regular Program Board meetings and serving as legal expert representative
· Attending regular Operational Committee meetings and serving as legal expert representative
· Attending and contributing to meetings between business analysts and client to provide guidance and context.
Required Skills
· Legal researcher, experienced in primary sources of law in the European region
· Understanding of the end-to-end process of legislative law, amendments, and extracting key information from legislation, key legal terms, etc
· Understanding of the end-to-end process of jurisprudence law, anonymization, case law summaries, all relevant terms, and extracting key information from jurisprudence documents
· Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
· Excellent presentation skills, including creating and delivering presentations
· Bilingual preferred (German and/or Dutch) - English required
· Experience in legal business process consulting required
· Self-starter and proactive communicator
