Role Overview
The Leadership Development Consultant will be responsible for creating comprehensive competency and skill frameworks, along with assessments and training modules, aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities and fostering people development within the organization. This role involves developing engaging training programs to build and strengthen leadership skills across all levels of the organization, identifying key leadership competencies, and designing tailored assessment tools to evaluate these competencies. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the frameworks and training modules align with the organization's strategic goals and support a culture of continuous learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop training modules: Support the design and development of micro-learning-style training modules related to target competencies and skills. These modules will provide targeted, bite-sized learning opportunities to help employees develop and enhance their capabilities effectively. This includes creation of training module outlines, training content, supporting learner resources or materials, and facilitation materials.
- Review relevant materials: Examine pertinent documents, reports, and other resources to understand the broader learning offerings to clarify positioning of modules and content development, expanding the learning and leadership development offering and avoiding duplicative content coverage.
- Conduct interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Engage in detailed review with SMEs to gather in-depth insights and feedback to guide module and material development.
- Validate content: Engage in collaborative review with relevant SMEs and other key stakeholders to validate the module content and materials designed to ensure the frameworks are accurate, relevant, and aligned with the organization's needs and expectations.
- Assist in custom learning pathways and competency/skill frameworks development: Support, as needed, the development of tailored learning pathways for and competency and skill frameworks that clearly outline the expected skills, behaviors, and expertise for specifically designated roles to promote clarity in learning and advancement opportunities.

Skills and Experience
- Experience in curriculum and program design
- Experience creating leadership development experiences
- Experience with rapid and iterative development and content creation
- Experience with creating and applying leadership competency frameworks or skill frameworks
- Experience developing assessments
- Strong knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
Education
Bachelor's degree, ideally in a field related to human resources, organizational behavior / development / leadership, learning and development, instructional design, healthcare administration, or business administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a corporate environment or with senior leaders
- Direct experience or substantial familiarity with hospital/clinical or healthcare industry environments and workforce needs
- Experience with learning management systems and virtual training technologies, including e-learning tools
- Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ATD, SHRM, HRCI, instructional design)
Pay rate: $80-$95
