Position: Linguist – AI Trainer
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $6-$65/hr
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Analyze, review, and edit written materials for linguistic accuracy, clarity, and stylistic consistency.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of linguistic resources such as glossaries, corpora, and style guides.
- Perform language data annotation and support quality assurance workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure linguistic integrity across projects.
- Participate in linguistic research to identify trends and inform strategy.
- Provide structured feedback to improve NLP models and language tools.
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Educational background in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in linguistic analysis, editing, and proofreading.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and relevant target language(s).
- High attention to detail and commitment to linguistic precision.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with comfort receiving and incorporating feedback.
- Familiarity with annotation workflows or computational linguistics concepts.
