The Junior Research Assistant supports research projects by assisting with data collection, literature reviews, analysis, and documentation. This role works under the guidance of senior researchers or project leads and is ideal for an early-career professional seeking hands-on experience in academic, scientific, market, or applied research environments.
Assist with conducting literature reviews and background research
Support data collection, entry, cleaning, and preliminary analysis
Help prepare research materials, questionnaires, surveys, or interview guides
Assist in maintaining research databases, files, and documentation
Support the preparation of research reports, summaries, and presentations
Coordinate logistics for research activities, meetings, or fieldwork
Ensure research activities follow ethical guidelines and protocols
Assist with tracking project timelines and deliverables
Support senior researchers with ad hoc research tasks
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Business, Economics, or related discipline)
0–2 years of experience in research, data analysis, or academic support roles
Basic understanding of research methodologies and data handling
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Analytical and critical-thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Curiosity and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
