Client Overview

Our client is a leading provider of healthcare and financial services. They are looking to add a Junior-Level Agile Scrum Master to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$30/hr - $40/hr

Position Overview

This fully remote contract role will start in March and last for the next 10 months. The Junior-Level Agile Scrum Master will guide sprint and release planning, manage backlogs in collaboration with product owners, and ensure transparency through clear communication of progress, risks, schedules, and budgets. You will coach teams to improve Agile maturity, protect them from external distractions, and foster continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Of The Junior-Level Agile Scrum Master

  • Coach teams on Scrum, Kanban, and Agile best practices to build delivery maturity.
  • Lead sprint planning, release planning, retrospectives, and daily Agile ceremonies.
  • Manage and maintain sprint and product backlogs with the Product Owner and stakeholders.
  • Track velocity, burn-down, and other visual metrics to monitor team performance.
  • Provide clear updates on schedules, budgets, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Build productive stakeholder relationships and ensure transparent communication.
  • Advise teams on using Azure DevOps (ADO) for performance tracking and analysis.

Required Experience/Skills of the Junior-Level Agile Scrum Master:

  • 1+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably working directly with clients through a full system development lifecycle.
  • 1+ years of experience in Agile Methodologies in the Scrum Master role.
  • Certification: CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferred CS or Business Management) or equivalent experience is required.
