Role Description
We are looking for a skilled Graphic Designer to support product packaging, basic video editing, and social media creative. This role requires someone who understands both design and production. You should be comfortable working on print ready packaging files, resizing assets across platforms, and editing short form video content for ads and social.
We are open to both experienced designers and recent graduates who are excited to learn from a senior team. The right person is detail oriented, organized, and eager to grow. Must be fluent in English and live in BC.
Key Responsibilities
Product Packaging Design
- Create and adapt packaging layouts for boxes, pouches, labels, and cartons
- Work within existing dielines and adjust designs to new dimensions
- Prepare print ready files with proper bleed, safety margins, and layer structure
- Manage multiple SKUs and replicate packaging across flavour or product variations
- Coordinate with printers or production partners when needed
- Maintain accuracy in regulatory copy, net weights, and production details
Video Editing
- Edit short form videos for ads and social media
- Resize videos for 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, and 16:9 formats
- Add text overlays, subtitles, simple motion graphics, and transitions
- Ensure safe zones and platform best practices are followed
- Export optimized files for Meta, YouTube, and other digital platforms
Social Media Creative
- Design static posts, ads, and campaign graphics
- Resize and adapt assets across multiple formats
- Maintain brand consistency across all visual touchpoints
- Apply strong visual hierarchy using provided campaign copy
- Support ongoing creative testing and asset variations
Qualifications
- Must be fluent in English and live in BC
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field
- Open to recent graduates who are highly motivated and eager to learn
- 1–3+ years of experience in graphic design, packaging, or digital content
- Strong portfolio showing design fundamentals, layout, typography, and branding
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
- Basic experience in Premiere Pro or similar video editing software
- Understanding of print production basics including bleed, safe margins, and file setup
- Strong attention to detail and file organization skills
- Ability to take feedback and iterate quickly
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines
Nice to Have
- Internship or freelance experience in packaging or social media design
- Experience resizing assets for multiple digital platforms
- Experience in CPG, regulated industries, or retail packaging
- Basic motion graphics knowledge
- Experience preparing files for large format print or retail displays
