Location: Remote (Must have significant overlap with CET / Netherlands Timezone)
Type: Full-time, Internal Role
Experience Level: Junior to Mid-Level (With a "Senior" mindset)
We are looking for a Junior Google Media Buyer to join our internal growth team. We don’t want a "button-pusher" or a virtual assistant. We are looking for someone hungry, obsessive about learning, and eager to master the art of media buying at a high level.
You will work directly under our Senior Media Buyer. Your goal is to support them by handling the heavy lifting of account management, reporting, and technical optimization. In return, you will get a front-row seat to how a successful D2C brand scales.
Note: This is an in-house role for a single brand, not an agency position. You will go deep, not wide.
- You are obsessed with "Why": You don't just report that ROAS is down. You dig in, find the root cause, and present a theory on how to fix it in your daily updates.
- You are a Sponge: You constantly read industry blogs, watch tutorials, and want to expand your skill set. You take feedback well and implement it immediately.
- You understand Search Intent: You know the difference between a browser (e.g., "best running shoes reviews") and a ready-to-buy customer (e.g., "buy nike pegasus size 10"). You use this logic to filter search terms effectively without needing to ask about every single keyword.
- Intelligent Reporting:Review every active campaign and split-test daily.
- You will not just copy-paste numbers; you will organize performance data into Notion/Slack accompanied by your own written analysis and observations on why performance is moving.
- Account Hygiene & Technical Maintenance:Manage Search Term reports (applying Blacklists + using your own judgment to identify new negatives).
- Google Ads Scripts: Implement, monitor, and fix scripts to automate "grunt work" and account cleaning.
- Vigilance: Act as the first line of defense for broken URLs or tracking issues. You alert the Dev team or Senior Buyer immediately based on strict SOPs.
- Execution & Optimization:Set up and monitor Google Shopping image split-tests.
- Optimize Performance Max campaigns (Asset group management, audience signal refreshes, product exclusions - beyond just "turning it on").
- Manage Bids/Budgets strictly on an approval basis or via pre-set SOPs when the Senior Buyer is unavailable.
- Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Experience: You have managed or supported Google Ads accounts specifically for e-commerce brands selling physical products.
- Platform Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Google Search, Google Shopping, and PMax.
- You must know how to actually optimize PMax, not just launch it.
- Attention to detail: You consistently catch tracking/URL/feed issues before they become expensive problems.
- Fluent English: Clear written communication for daily asynchronous reporting is essential.
- Google Ads Scripts knowledge: Experience installing/troubleshooting/fixing scripts to automate "grunt work" and account cleaning.
- Agency Experience: You have worked in an agency setting previously (shows you can handle volume and structure).
- Mentorship: Direct access to a Senior Buyer who will help mold your career.
- Growth: We prefer to promote from within. Show us your hunger, and we will give you more responsibility.
- Autonomy: We don't micromanage time; we manage results and insights.
Please answer the following in your application:
- What is your go-to way to set up PMax for e-commerce, and what are the first optimizations you would make after launch?
- What is the #1 mistake most people make when optimizing PMax for e-commerce?
- Briefly explain your favorite Google Shopping split-test (image or otherwise) you have run in the past.
- Do a quick keyword research sprint on the Beetroot supplement product category and identify key competitors and top keyword groups to target in the US market. Record a short 2–5 minute Loom explaining what you found, and how and why you approached it that way.
