Junior Field Safety Coordinator

APPLY

As a Junior Field Safety Coordinator, you'll be the safety presence on site — supporting crews, managing hazards before they become incidents, and learning the discipline from experienced coordinators and managers.

This is an entry-level field role built for someone early in their safety career who wants to grow. You'll start with close mentorship and a clear path forward: strong performers advance to coordinator roles.

A typical day

No two days are identical, but most look something like this:

  • Start with the morning tailboard and site safety meeting alongside the crew
  • Move through your assigned sites, completing field observations and inspections at each stop — supervisor observations, behaviour-based safety observations, fire-extinguisher checks, and spot audits
  • Document everything accurately in SiteDocs as you go
  • Complete your daily safety statistics and send an end-of-day recap
  • Wrap up with your timecard

Field days are long (often 10-11 hours including drive time) and spent outdoors in active construction environments.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain a visible, approachable safety presence in the field and build trust with crews and supervisors
  • Conduct routine inspections and observations, and identify and report hazards
  • Keep clean, consistent records in SiteDocs
  • Support incident investigations and corrective-action follow-up
  • Participate in the development of safe work procedures
  • Facilitate weekly safety meetings and the monthly Joint Health & Safety Committee
  • Learn Victor Energy's standards and client requirements, and grow toward working independently
