Position Summary
The Junior Data Scientist will support data-driven decision-making by assisting with data analysis, statistical modeling, and reporting. This role is well-suited for candidates seeking structured training, defined processes, and long-term career development within a mature organization.
Responsibilities
- Analyze structured datasets using Python, R, and SQL
- Support development and validation of predictive models
- Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and KPIs for stakeholders
- Ensure data quality, data integrity, and documentation
- Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and business teams
- Follow established data governance and security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis
- Experience with SQL queries and relational databases
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning algorithms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Agile or enterprise analytics environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
