Tech Pipeline works to resolve operational drag and fix technical bottlenecks for companies that have outgrown their original setups. We are currently supporting our partner, a leading provider of data analysis systems, to clean up internal approval cycles and data routing. This is a fully remote role focused on finding the ground truth in messy business processes.

About the role
The Junior Business Analyst steps into situations where data has become unreliable or manual work has taken over. You will not be building abstract strategy decks or frameworks. Instead, you will be looking at how data moves from one stage to another, identifying where it gets stuck, and helping us fix the specific routing rule or integration gap that is causing friction. Your focus is on the concrete details of how a business actually operates and why certain backlogs exist. We look for people who enjoy reading logs and tracing a problem back to its source.

What you will be doing
  • Tracing the path of specific records across different tools to find where the data starts to drift.
  • Reading system logs to identify why specific automated notifications or approval chains are failing.
  • Updating standard operating procedures to reflect new routing rules that our team has implemented.
  • Checking monthly reconciliations to ensure the numbers in the CRM match the numbers in the finance tool.
  • Interviewing operators to understand why they are still using manual workarounds instead of the provided systems.
  • Documenting the current source of truth for specific data sets during active system migrations.
  • Testing new logic in sandbox environments to ensure that gaps are closed before the system goes live.
  • Monitoring the first month of live operations after a fix to make sure the solution sticks.

What we need from you
  • Strong attention to detail and the patience to watch a manual process from start to finish.
  • Experience with basic data tools like Excel or Google Sheets: specifically using vlookups and basic formulas.
  • The ability to write clear, simple explanations of technical problems for non-technical users.
  • A curious mindset that prefers finding a root cause over applying a quick temporary patch.
  • Willingness to learn how to read configuration files and basic API response logs.
  • Professionalism in remote communication, including being consistent and responsive in written updates.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple small tasks without losing track of the details.

Helpful background
  • Exposure to business platforms like Salesforce, Jira, or similar ERP systems through school or internships.
  • Previous work experience in a customer service or operations role where you had to solve specific problems.
  • Studies in business, data analysis, or a related field that emphasizes logical problem solving.
  • Basic familiarity with SQL or a scripting language, though this is not a developer position.

What the role offers
  • A fully remote work environment that respects your time and focuses on your actual output.
  • Practical experience in how business systems actually work behind the scenes in a data-heavy sector.
  • A permanent, full-time position within a stable team of technical problem solvers.
  • Direct mentorship from senior analysts who value teaching and technical accuracy over corporate posturing.
  • A competitive salary that is attractive for entry-level roles in the current market.
  • The chance to see your work tangibly improve the daily lives of the people doing the job.

Working at Tech Pipeline
We are a team that values documentation and clear writing as the foundation of our work. Because we are remote, we do not spend our days in unnecessary meetings. Instead, we use weekly written updates and shared technical documents to keep everyone aligned. Our goal is to fix things properly so they stay fixed, and we expect everyone to stay close to the technical reality of how work moves. We document the reason behind every change so that our clients can eventually succeed without us. We focus on the work itself and the specific routing rules that make or break an operation.
