Position: Private Equity Financial Modeling Expert
Type: Part-time
Compensation: $115 – $200/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design and develop institutional-quality financial modeling tasks based on real-world investment banking and private equity scenarios.
- Create comprehensive prompts and execution plans that challenge AI systems to build financial models from scratch.
- Develop gold-standard reference models and evaluation rubrics to assess AI-generated outputs for accuracy, structure, and financial logic.
- Build and review advanced transaction models including integrated 3-statement models, DCF models (with WACC and sensitivity analysis), LBO models, M&A models, and growth equity frameworks.
- Construct modeling tasks covering specialized deal structures such as recapitalizations, carve-outs, and other bespoke transactions.
- Conduct and document detailed diligence analyses including unit economics, cohort analysis, and margin driver assessments.
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and provide clear written explanations of assumptions, methodologies, and modeling logic.
Requirements
- Strong years of recent hands-on experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, hedge funds, growth venture capital, or corporate development roles.
- Demonstrated ability to independently build complex financial models from scratch without relying on templates.
- Expertise in integrated 3-statement modeling, DCF analysis, LBO modeling, and transaction modeling.
- Strong experience performing scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and evaluating transaction risk and returns.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong financial judgment aligned with institutional standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a high-performance remote environment.
