Role Purpose:
As an Investment Associate/Analyst at EverQuest, you will play a central role in identifying, evaluating, and executing venture investment opportunities. You will work closely with Partners across the full investment lifecycle—from sourcing and due diligence through to portfolio support and exit preparation.
This role is suited to a highly analytical and commercially minded individual with a strong interest in venture capital, innovation-led businesses, and high-growth sectors. You will combine rigorous financial and strategic analysis with market insight to support investment decisions and drive portfolio value.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Sourcing & Market Intelligence
- Proactively identify and evaluate investment opportunities across EverQuest’s target sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, co-investors, accelerators, and the broader venture ecosystem.
- Conduct market mapping and sector research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and high-potential companies.
Investment Analysis & Due Diligence
- Lead initial screening of opportunities, including financial analysis, business model assessment, and team evaluation.
- Build financial models, valuation analyses, and investment memos to support decision-making.
- Coordinate and support due diligence processes, including commercial, technical, and legal workstreams.
- Present findings and recommendations to Partners and investment committees.
Transaction Execution
- Support deal structuring, term sheet development, and negotiation processes.
- Work with legal advisors and internal stakeholders to progress investments through to completion.
- Ensure all investment documentation and processes are managed efficiently and accurately.
Portfolio Management & Value Creation
- Support portfolio companies post-investment through performance tracking and strategic input.
- Monitor key financial and operational metrics, providing insights to Partners and founders.
- Assist in identifying growth opportunities, follow-on funding, and exit pathways.
- Contribute to portfolio reporting and investor updates.
Fundraising & Investor Support
- Assist with fundraising activities, including preparation of fund materials, data rooms, and investor communications.
- Support interactions with LPs by providing analysis, reporting, and insights on portfolio performance.
- Contribute to thought leadership and market commentary to enhance EverQuest’s positioning.
Collaboration & Internal Contribution
- Work closely with Partners and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality investment execution.
- Contribute to the development of EverQuest’s investment thesis and strategy.
- Support internal processes, tools, and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Education / Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc, CFA or equivalent).
Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Experience in venture capital, corporate finance, science, consulting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and financial modelling.
- Understanding of startup ecosystems and high-growth business models.
- Experience evaluating investment opportunities or supporting transaction processes.
Desirable:
- Experience working with early-stage or growth-stage companies.
- Familiarity with tools such as PitchBook, Crunchbase, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to fundraising or portfolio management processes.
