Interim Head of Operations
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Interim Head of Operations to lead and optimize end-to-end operational performance across our organization. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality products to market while driving continuous improvement, scalability, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, with experience in consumer products, manufacturing, and supply chain environments.
*EST preference. Travel required.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Own and lead all core operational functions including supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, demand planning, and customer fulfillment
- Translate business strategy into operational plans that drive efficiency, scalability, and profitability
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor and improve operational effectiveness
Supply Chain & Manufacturing
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including sourcing, production, inventory management, and distribution
- Ensure strong supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms while maintaining quality and reliability
- Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and service levels
Process Optimization & Execution
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies across operations, implementing best-in-class processes and systems
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve speed to market and reduce operational friction
- Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team across multiple functions and geographies
- Foster collaboration across commercial, finance, and product teams
- Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards relevant to the industry
- Proactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in consumer products, manufacturing, or related industries
- Proven track record of driving operational transformation and scaling processes in complex environments
- Deep expertise in supply chain management, S&OP, and manufacturing operations
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost optimization, and margin improvement
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at the executive level
- Experience in global or multi-site operations strongly preferred
