Description

We're Tiro - a leading provider of science and technology apprenticeships. We’ve been helping hungry apprentices to join ambitious businesses since 2005. At Tiro, we really believe that great apprenticeships help everyone. Because there are remarkable apprentices out there just waiting to be found, and fantastic employment opportunities waiting to be filled. But our work will never be just about getting bums on seats and pocketing our commission. In our own small way, we’re helping to change the world – finding people that are working on COVID vaccines, finding new ways for technology to help humanity and helping to tackle the big issues of the day, like climate change. We’re proud to be playing our part in making that happen, and we’re looking for more like-minded people to join our team.

The Role

As Tiro’s Inclusion Lead, you’ll drive an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every apprentice can thrive—regardless of background, starting point, or learning needs. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, focused on shaping, leading, and embedding inclusive practices across Tiro’s apprenticeship programmes.

You’ll be working across the Tiro team to create an exceptional learning experience for our apprentices, supporting them to overcome challenges through tailored support and intervention. You’ll lead the implementation of Additional Learning Support (ALS) plans, co-develop an inclusive curriculum with our Learning experts, and deliver CPD to empower our Learning Delivery Team—ensuring every apprentice can be their best. You’ll collaborate with the Designated Safeguarding Leads to ensure inclusive practices are embedded into the pastoral care provided to learners, creating a holistic environment.

About You

You’ll be an expert with proven experience in inclusion, learning support or SEND within FE or apprenticeships. You’ll be passionate about making a difference through the world of apprenticeships, seeing challenges as an opportunity for improvement and growth. You'll be a self-starter who thrives in a pacey environment. You'll be an excellent collaborator who loves nothing more than working alongside your teammates to achieve success. You'll rise to the challenge and never shy away from sharing feedback. You’ll give the role your all, be unafraid to take the odd calculated risk, and will fundamentally challenge us, because if you don’t change Tiro, you can’t succeed.

We don't believe in an itemised list of requirements to work at Tiro - we're looking for someone who has the right attitude and aptitude. Who knows their own mind and isn’t afraid to have a strong opinion. Who likes to work under their own steam and doesn’t want or need to be micromanaged. Who gets a thrill from helping some of Britain’s best businesses grow. And who’s genuinely passionate about the worlds of science and technology.

Safeguarding

This role involves contact with learners aged 16 and over. Tiro is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all our learners, staff and customers. We fully recognise our responsibilities for protecting vulnerable groups. It's the policy of Tiro to promote the safety, health and well-being of all children, young people and adults at risk that we work with – both directly and indirectly. We respect, value and listen to everyone as an individual. Safer Recruitment checks will be undertaken as part of your application for this role and if you're successful, you'll be required to complete a Disclosure Form from the Disclosure and Barring Service ("DBS") for the position. Failure to declare any convictions (that are not subject to DBS filtering) may disqualify you from joining Tiro.

The Package

We LOVE people - the apprentices who’re brimming with potential, the business leaders who are crying out for extra help and our fantastic team who make it all happen. And if you love people, you treat them well. You pay them what they’re worth. You coach and support them. And give them the opportunities to progress. You take a chance on people because you see something special, and you know they’re worth it.

At Tiro, we’ll look after you because we’re nothing without our people. We’ll never take you for granted and we’ll make sure work’s fun and rewarding. And in turn, we’ll ask you to treat our clients and our apprentices the same way – helping to give people their first big break and enabling businesses to grow.

At Tiro, we make great things happen for people. And that starts with you. You’ll receive:
  • Starting salary between £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
  • 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Hours of work – you can choose your own hours, providing you’re around when stakeholders need you and clock up 37.5 hours per week
  • Remote working with a requirement for travel (therefore applicants must be based in the UK)
  • 5% employee / 3% employer pension contribution
  • Annual away day
  • Regular training and CPD opportunities
