News-O-Matic is an instructional platform for students in grades K through 8. Every weekday (52 weeks a year), News-O-Matic publishes an entirely original edition of daily news covering a range of stories, from U.S. and world news to science, technology, sports, and arts.
News-O-Matic aims to create an engaging experience to empower children of all ages and backgrounds. Its multimedia technology, including interactive maps and augmented reality, work to inspire even the most reluctant of young readers. News-O-Matic provides a powerful — and 100% original — educational resource. Each story (at every level) is read out loud by real voice actors, allowing ELL and SPED students to access the content, regardless of their literacy level.
News-O-Matic is available on all platforms (web & mobile). Its content is leveled from grades K through 8 and available in multiple languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Mandarin. News-O-Matic includes teacher tools. Its content is correlated to state and national standards.
Position:
News-O-Matic is looking for a US based Implementation Specialist (IS). This key position will be in charge of assisting our customers (districts & schools) through training, PD and regular check in (via phone and email). This is a remote position with up to 10% travel.
The Implementation Specialist will work under the responsibility of the Chief Partnership Officer.
Major responsibilities
· Train and assist teachers and admins on how to use News-O-Matic in the classroom
· Organize regular webinars and PD session for teachers & admins
· Ensure usage level is high and regular outreach
· Develop educational materials to facilitate the use of the product
· Build meaningful relationships with current customers
· Provide regular feedback to internal team
Required Skills and experience
· 3+ years’ experience in an educational position or organization
· Project planning skills and attention to detail
· Self-motivation with strong interpersonal skills
· Strong written and verbal skills.
· Social media presence is a plus
· Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the News-O-Matic mission
