We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and execution-focused HR Senior Associate to accelerate our hiring efforts. Role Overview:


As HR Senior Associate in charge of hiring you will work closely with senior leadership and department heads to identify talent needs, build candidate pipelines, manage the full recruiting lifecycle, and ensure we are hiring high-performing individuals who align with Empower’s mission and culture.


This role requires strong judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to move quickly while maintaining high hiring standards. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of the company by helping to build and scale our team.


This role is remote or can be in person (Northern VA)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle from job posting to offer
  • Draft, edit, and publish compelling job descriptions
  • Source candidates through multiple channels including LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and outbound outreach
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews
  • Coordinate interview processes
  • Develop structured interview processes and evaluation criteria
  • Conduct reference checks and support offer negotiations


Candidate Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in U.S. based recruiting
  • Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
  • Bachelor’s degree required


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience recruiting for customer support, operations, marketing, engineering, and finance
  • Masters in human resources or organizational management
