Job Brief:



Wayvia is looking for an experienced HR Manager – EU to own and scale people operations across our European region, including the Netherlands, UK, Germany, and Ireland.

This is a high-impact, senior individual contributor role with full regional ownership. You will serve as the trusted HR partner to leaders, ensuring compliant, scalable, and business-aligned people practices while supporting growth across multiple countries.

Based in Amsterdam and partnering closely with our headquarters and HR team in Irvine, California, this role requires flexibility to collaborate across time zones while acting as the regional HR authority within Europe.

Essential Function & Responsibilities:



Regional Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure Wayvia operates compliantly across NL, UK, DE, and IRL while enabling business agility and growth.
  • Serve as the escalation point for employment law and employee relations risk, partnering with leadership to mitigate exposure while supporting sound business decisions.
  • Identify compliance risks early and implement practical, scalable solutions.
  • Align regional practices with global policies while respecting local requirements.

Employee Lifecycle Governance

  • Build scalable, audit-ready lifecycle processes across hiring, mobility, leave, performance actions, and terminations.
  • Ensure employee documentation, contracts, and processes are consistent, compliant, and efficient across countries.

Manager Advisory & Employee Relations

  • Enable leaders to confidently manage performance, restructures, and complex employee matters through practical HR guidance.
  • Balance legal risk, employee experience, and business needs in decision-making.
  • Support leaders navigating cross-country employment and cultural considerations.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Enable effective hiring across the EU and UK by guiding role design, country hiring constraints, and offer structures.
  • Own compliant employment contracts and hiring frameworks across jurisdictions.
  • Manage agency partnerships and recruiting vendors to ensure speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure hiring practices align with local regulations and internal compensation philosophy.

Workplace & Office Coordination

  • Support effective workplace practices and onboarding experiences across regional offices and remote teams.
  • Help create alignment and consistency across distributed employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A finished relevant bachelor or master's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of HR and talent management experience
  • Good understanding of HR policies
  • Track-record of talent development
  • Recruitment experience is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of Dutch labor law.
  • Knowledge of UK and German labor law is a plus
  • Like to work in an international environment
  • Fluent in English is required
