2. About the Opportunity:

The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive People Operations support across multiple states. Reporting to the CFO, this position partners with employees and leadership to enhance the employee experience while ensuring legal compliance. The role is responsible for managing core HR functions including employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting, compliance, and HR operations, contributing to the organization’s growth and workforce effectiveness.


3. Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, fostering an inclusive workplace culture

• Lead onboarding and orientation to integrate new hires effectively

• Handle employee relations with professionalism and discretion

• Prepare personnel correspondence such as employment verifications and communications

• Manage employee separations and related documentation

• Administer leave of absence programs, coordinating with managers and external partners

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems

• Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, billing, and COBRA administration with external vendors

• Stay informed on benefits trends and compliance, recommending improvements as needed

• Lead annual benefits open enrollment and employee education

• Administer 401(k) plans including enrollments, testing, and coordination with financial advisors

• Support compensation processes, including stock option grant administration

• Own full-cycle recruiting: partnering with hiring managers, drafting job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating, and managing candidate experience

• Build and maintain candidate pipelines and represent the organization at recruiting events

• Continuously improve recruiting processes and employer branding

• Support workforce planning and hiring forecasts with leadership and resource management

• Coordinate with external partners on employment law compliance

• Support affirmative action, EEO reporting, and non-discrimination testing

• Liaise between HR and payroll and serve as backup for payroll processing

• Create and maintain HR reports and dashboards to support decision-making

• Act as subject matter expert for HR tools and systems

• Lead or support HR initiatives including policy updates, system improvements, and employee programs

• Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency

• Contribute to building scalable HR practices for company growth

• Perform other duties as assigned


4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust at all organizational levels

• Sound judgment and objectivity

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• 5+ years of human resources experience

• Experience in full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition

• Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems

• Exposure to benefits administration and compliance

• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP)


5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
