Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Human Resources Director at the University of Kentucky. Key responsibilities include overseeing HR operations, developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor and employment laws, and overseeing performance management initiatives. The role demands collaboration with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals, as well as fostering a positive work culture that supports diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) operations and management
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and enforcing HR policies
  • Strong knowledge of Employee Relations and fostering a positive workplace culture
  • Expertise in Performance Management systems and strategies
  • Comprehensive understanding of Labor and Employment Law
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote work environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) are a plus
