Overview



My Diabetes Tutor (MDT) diabetes education telehealth program, aligned with ADCES standards, empowers individuals with diabetes through virtual programs offering essential education and support patients need for managing their diabetes but have been lacking in their care journey. MDT’s programs include Virtual Diabetes Education, Nutritional Counseling and Support, Remote Device Support, Remote Patient Monitoring, Medical Nutrition Therapy, Insulin Pump training, Prediabetes education, and more.

 

Position Summary



The Human Resources Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Human Resources function at My Diabetes Tutor. This role works closely with the Human Resources Manager to ensure a strong employee experience, consistent processes, and compliant practices in a fully remote telehealth environment.



This position is an excellent fit for someone who is detail oriented, organized, and eager to grow in the Human Resources field. The right candidate enjoys learning, problem solving, supporting others, and building processes within a company that is growing and evolving.



Reports to: Human Resources Manager



Key Responsibilities:



Recruiting and Onboarding


Support full cycle recruiting including posting positions, reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates



Partner with hiring managers to support an organized hiring workflow



Assist with offer letters and pre employment steps



Set up new team members in the Human Resources Information System and coordinate all onboarding activities to ensure a positive start



Human Resources Operations and Records


Maintain accurate employee records including licenses, certifications, job changes, and required documentation



Assist with promotions, internal changes, and separations while ensuring all required documents are completed



Help maintain and improve Human Resources files, templates, and standard processes



Benefits, Payroll, and Leave Support


Assist with routine employee questions regarding benefits, time off, and basic Human Resources policies



Support benefits enrollment and open enrollment activities



Assist with timekeeping review and preparation for payroll



Help track leave of absence documentation and support communication with employees



HIPAA Privacy and Compliance Support


Prior experience with HIPAA or privacy regulations is helpful but not required. Training will be provided



Assist the Human Resources Manager who serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer in maintaining privacy compliance for the organization



Support tracking of workforce access to protected information, assist with access reviews, and help maintain documentation for audits



Coordinate required HIPAA education and track completion



Employee Experience and Culture


Support employee engagement efforts, recognition programs, surveys, and internal communications



Assist with staff training coordination and professional development activities



Help promote a culture of respect, accountability, curiosity, and patient centered care



Compliance, Audits, and Human Resources Projects


Assist with ongoing audits of employee files and required trainings



Support compliance with federal and state employment laws and payer requirements



Help update Human Resources policies and internal guides



Participate in department projects that improve processes, systems, and communication




Data, Human Resources Information Systems, and Reporting


Enter and maintain accurate data in the Human Resources Information System and related systems



Assist with recurring reports such as headcount, turnover, license expirations, and training completion



Use spreadsheets to organize information and support analysis



Support the Human Resources Manager in maintaining workforce metrics



Preferred Qualifications


Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred



One to three years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or administrative support preferred



Familiarity with Human Resources practices and general employment law concepts or a strong desire to learn



Experience using an HRIS platform and tools such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office



Interest in healthcare, telehealth, or supporting a regulated environment is a plus

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy



Clear written and verbal communication skills



Ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment



Comfort using technology including Human Resources Information Systems and productivity tools

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $23-$26 a hour depending on skills and experience. Title and compensation may progress to Human Resources Generalist as responsibilities expand and performance is demonstrated.
