Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Coordinator on behalf of a non-profit client to support a variety of human resources functions throughout the employee lifecycle. This role will partner with internal stakeholders to assist with recruiting, onboarding, HR administration, payroll and benefits support, HR systems maintenance, and employee programs. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-service oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Primary Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Employee Lifecycle

  • Coordinate recruiting activities from job posting through candidate selection, including scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and facilitating pre-employment processes.
  • Support new hire onboarding by preparing employment documentation, coordinating orientation activities, and ensuring a positive onboarding experience.
  • Coordinate employee separation activities, including offboarding documentation and communication with internal departments.
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking records to ensure accurate recruitment activity and candidate status information.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Assist with payroll-related administrative activities, including employee record updates, timesheet coordination, and payroll change requests.
  • Support the administration of employee benefit programs, including enrollment updates and maintenance within the Human Resources Information System.
  • Assist with benefits reconciliation by reviewing payroll deductions, carrier invoices, and enrollment information while helping resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide administrative support for annual benefits enrollment activities, employee communications, and enrollment verification.

Human Resources Operations

  • Maintain employee records and support ongoing administration of the Human Resources Management System (HRMS), including data integrity, reporting, workflow administration, and process improvements.
  • Experience with Paylocity HRMS is required.
  • Respond to employee questions and HR-related requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with performance management administration, including documentation, review cycle coordination, reporting, and system updates.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc HR reports and assist with maintaining accurate personnel records.
  • Support employee training and development initiatives, meetings, and HR-related programs.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or similar HR support role.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee records, payroll administration, and benefits administration.
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resources Information System (HRMS).
  • Required: Experience using Paylocity HRMS.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
