Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on, and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to lead HR operations for our newly established Dutch entity and support broader HR initiatives across other European countries. This role plays a critical part in building a compliant, scalable, and culturally aligned HR infrastructure that supports business growth throughout the region.
You will be responsible for establishing and managing HR policies and operations in the Netherlands while also acting as a regional HR advisor for our teams across Europe. The ideal candidate is someone with strong generalist HR experience in multi-country settings, a builder mindset, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational support.
Currently, our European operations include around 15 professionals across several countries, supported by a core team based in China.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Business Partnership (Netherlands & Europe)
* Serve as the first point of contact for HR matters in the Netherlands and other European locations.
* Provide HR advisory to line managers across Europe on organizational planning, talent management, and compliance.
* Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training & development, and offboarding.
* Promote employee engagement, well-being, and alignment with Yuwell’s culture and values across the region.
* Coordinate and align with HQ on global HR initiatives while tailoring to local market needs.
* Partner with external vendors (e.g., payroll, legal, EOR/PEO) to support compliant operations in countries where we do not have legal entities.
2. Company Establishment & Local HR Infrastructure (Netherlands)**
* Support legal and administrative setup of the Dutch subsidiary from an HR perspective.
* Design and implement local HR policies, employment contracts, and employee handbook in line with Dutch regulations and global standards.
* Lead hiring for the Dutch team, including job scoping, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and offer management.
* Set up onboarding, payroll, and HR systems in collaboration with relevant external providers.
* Ensure compliance with labor, tax, and data privacy laws, coordinating with legal and finance departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 5+ years of generalist HR experience in the Netherlands; experience covering multiple European countries is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law and familiarity with HR regulations in other major EU markets (e.g., Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Nordics).
* Demonstrated ability to build HR processes and infrastructure from the ground up.
* Experience in international or cross-border business environments.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluent in English; Dutch or other European language skills are a strong asset.
