Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role
- Working knowledge of federal HR policies, compliance requirements, and guidelines
- Detail-oriented with strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity supporting the federal government (preferred)
- Experience using Deltek Costpoint (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Additional years of experience may substitute for formal education
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including background checks, I9 forms, new hire paperwork, and orientation sessions
- Manage employee offboarding processes, including final pay, benefits termination, exit interviews, and communication
- Administer benefits enrollment and support employee inquiries regarding insurance, qualifying life events, and payroll reporting
- Support open enrollment periods and review benefit bills for medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401k, PTO, and other time-off benefits
- Coordinate leave of absence processes such as FMLA, STD, and LTD, providing guidance to employees on their options
- Maintain and update HRIS data to ensure accuracy regarding new hires, terminations, and status changes
- Ensure compliance by managing employee records, providing policy guidance, and supporting audits and reporting
- Assist HR team and leadership with culture initiatives and special projects aimed at enhancing workplace environment
