Duties/Responsibilities:
Paycor HRIS Administration/Payroll Processing & Compliance:
- Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time; validate payable hours, commissions/bonuses, taxes, withholdings, and deductions prior to submission for approval.
- Audit timecard data and partner with leaders to resolve discrepancies (missed punches, edits, PTO approvals, etc.).
- Maintain and apply wage deductions, deposits, adjustments, 401(k) changes, benefit deductions, and garnishments appropriately.
- Ensure local, state, and federal tax setups are correct and remain compliant with wage and hour requirements; assist with regulatory filings as needed.
- Provide payroll support and respond to employee questions with a high level of confidentiality and customer service.
- Set up and process new hires appropriately, including coordination of payroll and benefit deductions.
- Produce scheduled and ad hoc Paycor reports for HR and business needs; support process improvements and HRIS best practices.
- Reconcile benefit deductions each pay period and monthly (medical/dental/vision, HSA/FSA as applicable, 401(k), voluntary benefits), ensuring Paycor deductions align to carrier/vendor billing.
- Identify and resolve deduction discrepancies (missed deductions, retro adjustments, term/leave impacts, eligibility timing), coordinating Paycor corrections and communicating with HR/Finance/vendors as needed.
- Support open enrollment and qualifying life events by ensuring accurate benefit setup, deduction timing, and employee record updates in Paycor.
- Compile payroll and HRIS data (garnishments, PTO, employee changes, insurance deductions) and provide reporting support to Accounting for payroll reconciliation and general ledger reporting.
- Maintain payroll and HRIS documentation and contribute to continuous improvements in payroll/HRIS processes.
- Strong proficiency in HRIS/payroll/timekeeping systems (Paycor preferred) and advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, PivotTables, data validation, reconciliation worksheets).
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion; strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines in a timely manner.

- Analytical/problem-solving mindset; adaptable to change.
- Strong written/verbal communication and customer service orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of payroll and HRIS administration experience, including multi-state payroll.
- Hands-on experience as a Paycor HRIS administrator (Paycor experience explicitly noted as a plus in the baseline JD).
- Benefits reconciliation experience across payroll deductions and vendor/carrier billing.
- Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting are typical, often for the majority of the workday.

- Reaching: Occasionally reaching for items such as files, documents, or office supplies.
