About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will serve as a vital HR partner, providing comprehensive support across various HR functions including employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that HR processes are efficiently managed and aligned with legal standards, fostering a positive and compliant work environment. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, assisting with workplace investigations, policy updates, and leave management. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of comprehensive HR experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Experience with HRIS systems and personnel record management
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and harassment policies
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in addressing HR challenges

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent HR support and guidance across multiple functional areas including performance management, employee relations, leaves, and benefits.
  • Review and ensure legal compliance of HR documentation and processes.
  • Maintain and update personnel files, HRIS profiles, and employee records accurately and securely.
  • Develop, update, and manage job descriptions, career pathways, and performance metrics.
  • Administer leave programs in accordance with applicable federal and state laws such as FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation regulations.
  • Conduct workplace investigations related to harassment, retaliation, and other employee complaints, ensuring thorough and impartial resolution.
  • Coach managers and supervisors on HR policies, performance management, and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and peers on complex employment decisions, providing insights on legal and compliance considerations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, liaising with insurance brokers and resolving issues promptly.
  • Update and communicate company policies, employee handbooks, and collateral to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Ensure timely collection of documentation, adherence to employee privacy guidelines, and mitigation of legal risks.
  • Assess leave requests considering medical information, legal requirements, and business needs, providing appropriate recommendations.
  • Support organizational initiatives aimed at fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
