About The Role
We at Lionbridge are actively seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for our core tactical HR activities, processes, and programs. This role involves managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and administering benefits. The HR Generalist will work primarily onsite at our Waltham, MA office at least four days a week, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate different US time zones and occasional travel of up to 5%. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of multi-state employment regulations. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory)
- SHRM or PHR certification is a plus
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations such as ADA, FMLA, EEO, and multi-state employment standards
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- High level of integrity and discretion handling confidential information
- Self-motivated with the ability to adapt and work efficiently under shifting priorities
- Experience with employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance management
- Manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and resolve conflicts fairly and consistently
- Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to employees and management
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Support health and safety initiatives, including Worker’s Compensation communication and documentation
- Assist in the performance management process by tracking progress and supporting managers and employees
- Offer onsite HR administrative support, including onboarding new hires and maintaining employee records
- Develop and implement employee engagement programs to foster a positive work environment
- Facilitate new hire onboarding processes for a seamless transition into the organization
- Handle leave and accommodation inquiries, managing cases such as FMLA, ADA, PFML, STD, LTD, and parental leave
- Support accommodation requests and collaborate with stakeholders to identify reasonable accommodations
- Assist in monitoring compliance requirements and contribute to policy development and updates
- Participate in HR projects related to talent development and career progression
- Assist in creating and delivering training materials and workshops for employee development
- Competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 USD annually, based on experience and performance
