About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to lead and develop our HR functions at Blooming Health. This senior role requires a strategic and hands-on HR leader capable of architecting, operationalizing, and scaling HR and recruitment initiatives from the ground up. The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership to translate the company’s mission and growth objectives into a comprehensive people strategy. You will be responsible for establishing foundational HR structures, attracting top-tier talent, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture that aligns with our mission and scales with our rapid growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the organization’s people practices, build scalable systems, and support a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in fast-paced startups or high-growth environments
  • Proven track record in building and scaling HR and recruitment functions from the ground up
  • Deep knowledge of HR compliance, employment law, and best practices across multiple states
  • Experience in culture building, employee engagement, and change management
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution skills with the ability to define and drive results independently
  • Exceptional organizational, detail-oriented, and multitasking abilities
  • Leadership and team-building skills with experience coaching managers and leaders
  • Experience designing performance appraisal systems, compensation frameworks, and benefits programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high emotional intelligence
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems (ATS, HRIS) and processes
  • Preferred certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or similar
  • Experience in early-stage startups or mission-driven organizations is a plus
  • Deep understanding of DEI principles and practices

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with company goals
  • Translate the organization’s mission into actionable HR initiatives and priorities
  • Establish scalable HR processes, policies, and systems to support rapid growth
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts, building a high-performing recruitment function to attract mission-aligned top talent
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and talent retention strategies
  • Design and manage HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices
  • Implement and maintain performance management systems that promote continuous feedback and development
  • Develop and administer competitive total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and incentives
  • Foster an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance workplace culture
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote an equitable environment
  • Drive employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and learning & development efforts
  • Manage internal communications, feedback systems, and employee relations to ensure transparency and responsiveness
  • Assess organizational needs and allocate HR resources effectively across teams and geographies
  • Coach and support managers in team development, performance management, and organizational design
