About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our HR department by managing various administrative tasks related to employee onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, and personnel record maintenance. This position requires a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a professional, compliant, and supportive HR environment that aligns with our company's mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in maintaining employee files and records
  • Knowledge of compensation and wage structures
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and employee orientation processes
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Professionalism and team-oriented mindset
  • Prior experience in HR or administrative roles is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in HR or related field is a plus
  • Must be able to clear background and drug tests

Responsibilities

  • Screen and interview job applicants, including testing and notification of internal opportunities
  • Assist in onboarding new employees by providing orientation information, explaining company policies, and gathering necessary documentation
  • Prepare and process payroll accurately and timely, including distributing checks and maintaining payroll records
  • Administer employee benefit programs such as medical insurance and disability plans, providing guidance and assistance to employees
  • Maintain comprehensive personnel records, including new hires, transfers, terminations, and changes in employment status
  • Monitor and manage unemployment claims, ensuring proper documentation and legal review when necessary
  • Track employee leave, vacation, sick, and personal time to ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Complete HR-related forms, reports, logs, and documentation to support organizational compliance and reporting requirements
  • Participate in ongoing professional development by engaging in educational opportunities and reading industry publications
  • Support the HR department in achieving organizational goals and ensure smooth administrative operations
