Our client, a European boutique hedge fund, is seeking to make a newly created Head of Operations hire.
The current Head of Operations is retiring following a strong tenure with the firm. The incoming hire will assume a broad range of oversight responsibilities across operations, directly supervising a lean team of two analysts. While the team structure is efficient, the role will still require the Head of Operations to remain hands-on with certain BAU processes, particularly during periods of market volatility.
In addition, the successful candidate will lead infrastructure build-out projects alongside the technology function, as well as oversee the outsourced middle office provider.
Candidates should already be working on the buy-side and have some form of managerial or supervisory experience, ideally looking to step into a formal Head of Operations role.
This is a crucial hire for the firm, with strong performers expected to receive £200k–£250k TC in year one. The team operates on a fully remote basis but meets collectively in London on a fortnightly basis.
