Your Mission:
As our Head of Technology, you’ll be responsible for architecting and scaling our entire platform—from robust AI pipelines to reliable backend systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll work closely with the Founder and Product team to build a secure, scalable, and emotionally intelligent experience for our users.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the technical roadmap and make architectural decisions across the AI and cloud stack
- Lead backend infrastructure and deployment on GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, etc.)
- Oversee AI integrations (OpenAI, Claude, voice interfaces, and other AI pipelines)
- Manage and scale real-time, user-centric systems for chat, journaling, and voice
- Define and implement security, data privacy, and compliance best practices
- Collaborate with front-end and design teams to ensure a seamless user experience
- Build and lead a small, elite engineering team as we grow
- Set performance and reliability standards as usage scales globally
What We’re Looking For:
- 6+ years of experience in full-stack or backend engineering
- 3+ years leading cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred)
- Experience deploying and scaling AI-powered products
- Comfort navigating LLMs, prompt pipelines, and external AI APIs
- Product-first thinker who collaborates well with design and UX
- Startup or founder mindset – willing to get hands dirty and scale fast
- Bonus: Experience with health care industry and HIPAA compliance
