Our client is looking to expand into the German market and is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead this critical launch. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to join a dynamic company at the forefront of its sector, working remotely from Germany.
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager for the German market, you will be at the helm of our client's market entry strategy. You will conduct market research, build strategic partnerships, and lead customer acquisition efforts, all while helping to establish a significant presence in the region. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong understanding of the German market and experience selling SaaS products or services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the launch of the company's products and services in Germany, identifying market opportunities and challenges.
- Develop and nurture partnerships with key industry stakeholders.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, driving customer growth and revenue.
- Conduct detailed market research to assess customer needs, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to craft and implement a go-to-market strategy for Germany.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with local partners, associations, and relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, enhancing brand visibility.
- Report on progress against key metrics such as sales targets and market penetration.
Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or market expansion within the automotive tech industry OR a compelling network consisting of relationships with OEM's and dealerships across the automotive industry in Germany.
- Proven ability to successfully launch and scale products or services in new markets.
- Deep understanding of the German market and an established network of contacts preferably within automotive.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, able to work independently and meet ambitious targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in both German and English.
- Previous experience in a startup environment is highly desirable.
