About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Head of Project Management to lead a high-profile energy infrastructure initiative that will play a critical role in strengthening the Netherlands’ electricity network and supporting the country’s energy transition goals. This position involves overseeing the delivery of a complex, multi-year program connecting large-scale renewable generation to the national grid.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for all phases of the project lifecycle—from planning and design through execution and commissioning.
  • Build and manage a high-performing project management team, ensuring clear accountability and alignment with program objectives.
  • Establish robust governance, risk management, and reporting frameworks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including technical partners, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies.


Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, ideally involving grid integration or offshore elements.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2) and complex contract structures.
  • Familiarity with Dutch permitting and regulatory processes for energy projects is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
