Role Overview
We’ve built a centralized payments infrastructure - branded OnPay - to embed payment capabilities across our portfolio companies and serve merchants directly. The infrastructure is live. The partnerships are in place. Now we need someone to lead the business.
We’re looking for someone with deep experience in payments - who understands how a PSP works from the inside: the margin stack, the pricing mechanics, the distribution problem, the product tradeoffs - and who can apply that knowledge to building and scaling a payments business. This is a role with real P&L responsibility, distribution leverage through a large software portfolio, and the backing of a well-resourced PE-backed group.

Requirements
You have deep experience in payments - specifically in the PSP space. You understand how payments businesses are built, how the economics work, and what it takes to bring a payments product to market. A background in senior commercial, product, or operational roles at a PSP - or having built one - is the foundation we’re looking for. You bring firsthand knowledge of the full payments value chain and are ready to apply it in a leadership capacity.

Requirements
You have deep experience in payments - specifically in the PSP space. You understand how payments businesses are built, how the economics work, and what it takes to bring a payments product to market. A background in senior commercial, product, or operational roles at a PSP - or having built one - is the foundation we’re looking for. You bring firsthand knowledge of the full payments value chain and are ready to apply it in a leadership capacity.
Beyond that, we’re looking for someone who:
- Has owned a P&L or operated with clear accountability for commercial outcomes.
- Understands go-to-market in a payments context: merchant acquisition, channel strategy, and what drives adoption.
- Has enough product intuition to engage substantively with product and engineering teams - shaping priorities and asking the right questions - without needing to run the roadmap.
- Can negotiate and manage commercial agreements with major payment infrastructure providers from a position of knowledge.
- Is comfortable as a visible senior leader across a complex, multi-brand organization.
- Has the judgment to focus on what matters and drive it to completion.
- Is fully fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and plugin or marketplace distribution ecosystems.
- Familiarity with the EU regulatory and compliance landscape (PSD2, PCI-DSS, SCA, KYC).
- Background in SaaS or software businesses, particularly embedded financial services models.
- Experience in PE-backed or portfolio company environments.
- Fluency in additional European languages.
