Position: Head of Operations and Supply Chain

Location: Remote; Los Angeles area

Reports To: CEO

Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced Supply Chain and Operations professional in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area who can lead our established Direct-To-Consumer Operations and spearhead the launch of our new retail initiatives. You will be responsible for animating the current team, successfully launching a new line of retail products, and working closely with the leadership to scale up, while enhancing efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage demand planning and production strategy based on sales trends to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost
• Lead the supply chain and operations team to execute industry best practices
• Launch and develop new retail operations ensuring scalability and operational efficiency
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to meet retailer expectations
• Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand and new product launch initiatives
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics departments to determine and optimize product flows for both DTC and Retail
• Manage contract manufacturer relationships, including negotiations and performance management
• Manage cost of goods with a strong focus on profitability
• Monitor and adjust inventory levels at internal and external warehouses (3PL) to ensure proper rotation and efficient use of working capital
• Work with freight forwarders and transportation companies to set optimal routes and rates, reviewing and approving all freight terms and agreements
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify growth opportunities and provide strategic insights for future development
• Collaborate with the marketing department to plan and execute promotions and events
• Work closely with, communicate, and escalate issues to the leadership team
• Monitor overall operations activities and propose optimization strategies
  
  

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges
• Ability to manage detailed procedures in a time-constrained environment
• Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and customer service principles
• Expertise in inventory management, supply chain, and logistics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Able to work both independently and within a team
• Bonus: Costco retail experience
  
  

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management experience
