This role will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the organisation’s IT operations, projects, and business partnering functions. Acting as deputy to the Director of IT, this position ensures the delivery of robust, secure, and innovative technology solutions that support clinical and business objectives. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of cyber security within a healthcare context.
Role and Responsibilities:
Deputise for the Director of IT, providing leadership and decision-making in their absence.
Manage and develop teams across:
o IT Run (day-to-day operations and infrastructure)
o IT Project Management (delivery of technology projects)
o Business Partnering (liaison between IT and business units to align technology with organisational goals).
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Strategic & Operational Delivery
Support the development and execution of the IT strategy aligned with organisational objectives.
Oversee project portfolios, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and measurable outcomes.
Cyber Security & Compliance
Maintain a strong cyber security posture across all systems and processes.
Ensure compliance with UK healthcare regulations, GDPR, and data protection standards.
Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for cyber threats.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and clinical teams on technology matters.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners/vendors.
