In this role, you'll be the heartbeat of our HR operations, ensuring compliance, fairness, and smooth people processes across our stores. You'll support dynamic, fast-moving teams and be a trusted partner to the CAO in all things people, culture, and beyond.
Compensation is based on experience and aligned with cost of living in the candidate's location.

- Attract and Hire for job postings and candidate management
- iSolved for payroll processing
- 7Shifts for scheduling, tip tracking, and payroll
- Toast as our point-of-sale (POS) system
- Managing weekly payroll processing with precision and timeliness
- Overseeing ACA benefits enrollment and compliance reporting
- Handling Workers' Comp claims, other employment-related claims, and leave paperwork (PFL, STD, LTD, etc.)
- Keeping employee records up to date and confidential
- Leading our new hire onboarding experience to ensure a warm and seamless welcome
- Posting open roles and managing active job postings across all platforms
- Pre-screening candidates and coordinating with hiring managers for next steps
- Tracking PTO and sick leave accurately across locations
- Being a go-to for employee concerns, complaints, and terminations, with empathy and professionalism
- Ensuring proper offboarding procedures and exit documentation are handled with care
- Designing and maintaining a competitive pay scale and performance review structure
- Partnering closely with the CAO to support strategic projects across the organization
- (Bonus!) Bringing a curiosity and willingness to take on new challenges beyond HR - like supporting with marketing, fundraising, or other company initiatives
- You're organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
- You're bilingual in English and Spanish - that's a major plus!
- You're a problem-solver who leads with empathy and integrity
