Our client is an emerging luxury beauty brand with a growing presence in the UK market. With a strong product portfolio, premium positioning, and an ambitious growth strategy, the brand is now seeking its first Head of Sales. This is a newly created role designed to build and execute the commercial strategy, expand retail and distribution partnerships, and accelerate revenue growth domestically and internationally.


Role Overview

As Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s commercial success. You will define and deliver the sales strategy, open new partnerships with luxury retailers and selective distributors, and nurture key accounts to maximise long-term value. This role requires a true self-starter with deep experience in luxury or premium beauty, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for building brands.


Commercial Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the brand’s growth objectives.
  • Identify market opportunities across the UK and select international markets.
  • Create scalable processes and frameworks for sales planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Founder/CEO and marketing team to align sales initiatives with brand vision and launch plans.

Business Development

  • Lead outreach and pitch efforts to secure new partnerships with luxury retailers, high-end department stores, premium e-commerce platforms, and curated boutiques.
  • Identify and onboard reputable distributors in priority international markets where direct retail is not viable.
  • Build strong relationships with senior retail contacts and negotiate commercial terms effectively.

Account Management & Growth

  • Serve as the primary owner of all retail and distribution accounts once established.
  • Develop tailored account plans to maximise visibility, sell-through, and brand performance.
  • Monitor sales performance, conduct regular business reviews, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure best-in-class in-store presence in partnership with retailers and the marketing/VM teams.

Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with supply chain and operations to manage forecasts, stock allocations, and launch timelines.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support sell-in and sell-through with relevant campaigns, sampling, and training.
  • Provide market feedback to inform product development and category strategy.

Team Building (Longer-Term)

  • As the business scales, build and lead a small commercial team, which may include account managers, field staff, or regional sales support.


Skills & Experience Required

  • 7+ years of sales or business development experience in luxury beauty, premium skincare, fragrance, or adjacent luxury categories.
  • Proven track record of securing new retail partnerships and driving sustained revenue growth.
  • Strong network within UK/International luxury retail (e.g., high-end department stores, premium beauty retailers/distributors).
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills and P&L awareness.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build structure in a growing, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and a polished, brand-aligned communication style.
  • Self-driven, strategic, and hands-on, comfortable operating both at the strategic and tactical level.
