About the Role


Our Client is seeking a Head of Commercial to drive growth, revenue, and operational excellence across our education and learning enterprise.


Following a period of rapid expansion, including acquisitions and platform upgrades, this is a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategy, sales operations, and data-driven decision-making.


You will build and lead a high-performing commercial team, integrating key account management, sales operations, and data insight capabilities to deliver measurable results and ensure sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to deliver revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Lead and mentor a team of senior managers covering sales, key account management, and commercial operations.
  • Enhance sales performance using BI tools, CRM systems, and actionable insights from data analytics.
  • Translate market and customer data into strategic opportunities, pricing models, and sector priorities.
  • Drive cultural change in commercial teams - moving from reactive service to insight-led, proactive account growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to align go-to-market strategy.
  • Champion process improvement, digital adoption, and performance reporting to optimise commercial efficiency.
  • Lead and Influence strategic decisions and organisational growth.


Who You Are

  • Experienced commercial leader with a track record in B2B services, education, or EdTech sectors.
  • Data-driven mindset, capable of turning analytics into actionable business strategies.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, team leadership, and transformation programs.
  • Comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
  • Excited to contribute to sustainable growth, learner impact, and operational excellence across a mission-driven organisation.


Preferred Experience

  • Roles like Commercial Director, Head of Propositions, Head of Sales Operations, or similar senior commercial positions.
  • Proven success driving transformation, embedding new ways of working, and leveraging CRM / BI systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience in education, EdTech, franchising, or sustainability-focused B2B services highly desirable.
