About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Banking Relations to expand our custodial network into the Tier 1 and Tier 2 banking sectors.

About The Role

Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and lead Exantes global cash custody strategy, aligning it with business growth across regions and asset classes.
- Custodian Network Management: Establish, manage, and expand a robust global network of banking partners and relationships that manage client cash assets.
- Governance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards across jurisdictions (e.g., FCA, CySEC, MiFID II).
- Collaboration: Partner closely with Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, and Tech teams to ensure a resilient, scalable, and secure custody architecture.
- Innovation & Efficiency: Drive digitisation of custody processes, evaluate new tech partners and platforms, and optimise workflows.
- Client Assurance: Provide institutional and HNWI clients with confidence in Exantes custodial capabilities through transparent reporting and service excellence.
- Experience: 10+ years in custody, asset servicing, or operations within global financial institutions, with proven leadership in both brokerage and private/traditional banking environments.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in building or restructuring cash custody functions at scale across multiple jurisdictions.
- Travel: Successful candidates must be willing to travel up to 60 days a year.
- Network: Strong, trusted relationships across Tier 1 / 2 / 3 custodians, private banks, and regulators.
- Leadership: Gravitas, influence, and executive presence to represent Exante in high-stakes environments.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of market infrastructure, asset classes (including digital assets), settlement cycles, and global regulatory frameworks.
- Mindset: Strategic, solutions-oriented, agile, and able to operate effectively in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Law or related field (Masters preferred). Professional certifications (e.g., CISI, CFA, CAIA) are a plus.
