You wake up, open Discord, and figure out: what is the single most important thing I can do today to make this company grow? Then you do it. Nobody tells you what it is. There is no playbook. The company uses AI agents to break into other companies' systems before the real attackers do. Your job is to make sure the right people know about it.
Eira is recruiting for this role on behalf of an AI-driven cybersecurity company.
About the company
A young cybersecurity company that builds AI agents for offensive penetration testing, automatically finding vulnerabilities in other companies' security before real attackers do. Fully remote, no office structure. More hackathon than corporate: low consequences for mistakes, high tempo, and a founder who expects people to move fast rather than get it right on the first try.
The role
This is a new position, reporting directly to the founder. You're not just running campaigns. You're helping the founder commercially lead the company forward. In practice, that means spending a large chunk of your days outward-facing: identifying potential customers, reaching out, running the sales conversations yourself. Between meetings, you build the company's marketing presence, primarily on LinkedIn where you're expected to post regularly and with substance.
You bounce strategy off the founder. Early on, that means several times a day. Over time, it moves toward daily async messages on Discord. But the decisions are yours. Want to call a prospect, go. Want to test a new outreach approach, go. The only things that need sign-off are significant spending and public marketing initiatives.
Everything else, you figure out. Priorities shift depending on what the company needs that week. Some days it's pure prospecting. Other days you might be rethinking the entire go-to-market strategy. There is no fixed structure. Your job is to create it where it's needed.
⚠️ This isn't for everyone
If you need someone to tell you what to do, you won't last. Same goes if you need to be physically near colleagues to understand what needs doing. This is a fully remote environment with no office structure, and the expectation is that you drive yourself completely. The best people here have strong opinions about what should be done, and they act on those opinions without waiting for permission.
You need to have:
✓ Fluent English
✓ Experience in sales or business development, preferably outbound
✓ Ability to create structure in uncertain, fast-changing environments
✓ Comfortable working fully remote and communicating asynchronously (Discord, Slack, or similar)
✓ Strong drive and independent decision-making without constant direction
Nice to have:
- Technical background, enough to understand how cybersecurity and penetration testing work and talk about it credibly
- Experience from SaaS or cybersecurity
- Track record of building LinkedIn presence (personal or company)
- Experience from early-stage startups or founder-adjacent roles
